The Toronto Maple Leafs were founded in November of 1917 as the Toronto Arenas. They are one of the Original Six National Hockey League Franchises and in 1927 were purchased by Conn Smythe and Hugh Aird and renamed the Maple Leafs.

In 1967, The Toronto Maple Leafs won their thirteenth cup, defeating the Montreal Canadiens in an epic final. While ultimate success has eluded them since that season, this year brings many new faces to the Toronto Maple Leafs once again try and bring back the coveted Stanley Cup to their legion of adoring fans.
